Bloomsbury Festival 2011 : London
In one extraordinary weekend, the Bloomsbury Festival offers a taster of the amazing cultural life of this beautiful area of central London and brings together the incredibly diverse range of people who live and work here.
The Festival is run by Hidden Cities, a small production company based in the area, which formed when its two founder members met working on the first Bloomsbury Festival in 2006. The steering committee includes the Bloomsbury Colleges, the School of Advanced Study, UCL and Wellcome Collection. The Festival is run on Hidden Cities’ principle that places are at their best when people work together, and culture is shared by all.
Bloomsbury is a fascinating place, with an extraordinarily rich history. The Festival is proud to continue traditions of social inclusivity and creative exploration which have flourished in the area for centuries.
